What refusal means
The process from here
The council refused this application for the reasons set out on the decision notice, which the council portal holds in full. Only the applicant can appeal a refusal; the time limit runs from the decision date and is shorter for householder schemes.
Refusal does not prevent a fresh attempt. Applicants often address the reasons for refusal and resubmit, so a refused scheme is not necessarily the end of proposals for the site.
About householder applications
How this application type works
Householder applications cover work to an existing house and its garden: extensions, loft and garage conversions, porches, outbuildings and similar alterations within the boundary of the home. They cannot be used to create a separate dwelling or change what the building is used for. Councils aim to decide them within eight weeks, and immediate neighbours are usually notified and given a chance to comment.

20230169 Granted
Beech Mount 1 Bircham Road Reepham NR10 4NG
T1- This is a group of small beech trees, approximately 4-6 individual trees. These used to be kept as a hedge but haven't been cut recently, therefore have grown into small trees. As shown in the pictures, they have a lot of small branches overhanging the footpath. We'd like to cut all the branches from the ground up to 2.5 meters high back to the trunks. Conifer (T2) - We'd like to crown lift this tree by approximately 3 meters to allow more clearance over the path, road and garden. There are some other shrubs overhanging the path which will be cut down and completely removed, but these are small enough that they don't need to be included in this application.
