This application is for the crown reduction and crown thinning of a large (8-10m) sycamore tree which resides in my back garden. The tree sits close to the border garden wall with 33 Cambridge Road, and property walls of GFF, 33 Cambridge Road, and Basement flat of 35 Cambridge Road. To my knowledge, there is no TPO attached to this tree - and I'm keen to keep it healthy for both aesthetic and nature-based reasons. The purpose is to maintain the crown of the tree (and it's root system) to a safe and manageable size in relation to the nearby building, and to minimise increase light into neighbouring properties and garden. Proposed works: Crown reduction by 3-5m + Crown thinning. by 10%
