There are 2 Oak trees in my garden under TPO. Permission has been granted in the past to have a crown reduction. Neil Barton Bracknell Forest, has been to the property in the past and has said the trees are 70-80 years old and as they are in a small residential garden near to properties, they will need regular maintenance pruning for the tree health (every 4-5 years) and for us as a family to enjoy our garden. One is closer to the property than the other. It was recommended to have crown reduction of at least 1 metre of each tree, this has been done in the past and improved the light to my property and that of my neighbours in 2013, and in 2021. The trees have grown since the last prune back to the height and width of the last pruning, the trees are approx 17m high. We are requesting permision to allow a crown reduction of 1 - 1.5 metre on both T1 and T2, this work is undertaken by registered tree surgeons, usually Tree Solutions.

One of the limbs of the Oak tree is overhanging into our neighbours garden and is lower the other limbs on the crown of the tree. I would like to slightly reduce the overhanging limb and bring up to the same height as the other limbs on the crown.

Also reduce low branch (south) that overhangs the garage by 1.5 m targeting suitable growth points. Keeping pruning wounds small and maintaining a balanced crown. Tree dimensions after pruning : Height 15m Radial spread 7.5 m Reasons for work : To alleviate end weight and side loading on large primary branch and low branch that extends out from natural drip line reducing the risk of failure.
