Planning application

249 Bournemouth Road Poole BH14 9HX

Awaiting decision Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole P/26/00316/HOU Householder

Still open. Anyone can comment while the consultation period runs, and comments go to the council rather than to us.

Proposal

To create a standard size parking space at the front area of 249 Bournemouth road. This will require reducing the ground by an extra 600mm back towards the property and create hard standing. To replace the current old hardstanding area {and newly created) with brick pavers. To renew current retaining wall and old conctrete ramp to front door that is being retained. This will meet all building control requirements as advised, to allow us to then drop the pavement infront of the property.

What happens while it is decided

The process from here

This application is with Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole for determination. The council publicises it, consults neighbours and technical bodies where required, and weighs the responses against local and national planning policy.

The statutory target is eight weeks for most applications and thirteen for major development, though extensions of time are common. Comments carry most weight while the case is undecided, so check the council portal for the deadline if you want to respond.

About householder applications

How this application type works

Householder applications cover work to an existing house and its garden: extensions, loft and garage conversions, porches, outbuildings and similar alterations within the boundary of the home. They cannot be used to create a separate dwelling or change what the building is used for. Councils aim to decide them within eight weeks, and immediate neighbours are usually notified and given a chance to comment.
