Ash (T1 / TPO 118) - Fell because of ash dieback. Tree T1/TPO-118 has ash dieback disease - this was identified by Andy Harrison (AA Tree Surgeons, 3 Derby Road, Ripley, Derbyshire) at a site inspection on Thursday 1st July 2021. Ash dieback is also evident in other neighbouring trees. Tree T1 is a large tree in an elevated position, in close proximity to residential housing and a main road with frequent car and pedestrian traffic. A new dwelling is also about to be developed on the plot and consequently there will be people on-site and working in close proximity to the tree from August-21 for the next 12-14 months. We have been advised by AA Tree Surgeons that the disease will take its course over the next two seasons and accordingly this tree now presents an elevated risk to the neighbourhood and people on-site. They have recommended that the appropriate action is to bring the tree ground level. Given the location of the site and the proximity of other properties we do not feel it would be appropriate to plant a large-specimen replacement tree on the same plot. We are open to replacing with a smaller variety of tree or alternatively seeking an alternative public location in the village where a protected replacement tree could be enjoyed by the village in the coming decades.

I Propose to crown lift T1( willow) and slightly reduce East aspect of tree to give 2m clearance to building this is just to let a bit of light in and to get the tree away from the property

Stem reduction to 1m high from a mature multistem tree sycamore. Removal of a decaying trunk, this is 1 of several trunks growing from ground level, one has rotted and fallen into the neighbours garden and a second appears to have some decay, this trunk is leaning forwards the house and requires reducing to reduce the likelihood of collapse. No evident decay at the base/ butt , however its difficult to tell. I suggest removal of 1 trunk leaning towards the house, ivy covered.
