Cherry tree on elevated lawn. The tree is 2m to the South South East of the kitchen door. This application is to reduce the crown of the tree by 1m for the following two reasons: 1) The tree is too close to the house resulting in excessive shading, leaf fall blocking gutters etc. 2) The trunk is angled to the house, with some rot at a former junction at the base. There is a concern that, with the existing canopy, in a strong wind, the tree could be blown over into the house. Please note that this is a follow up of an application made for similar work done 3 years previously.
