T1. Eucalyptus. Crown reduce from around 19 meter height to approx 15 meter height and reduce radial spread by up to 2 meters as required for good shape . T2. Oak. Tip reduce the lateral crown spread over the garden of Reformation Cottage by 1-2 meters . T3. Sycamore. Tip reduce the lateral crown spread over the garden of Reformation Cottage by 1-2 meters T4. Ash. Tip reduce the lateral crown spread over the garden of Reformation Cottage by 1-2 meters . T5. Lime. Reduce radial crown spread over Reformation Cottage and garage roof by around 2 meters. T1 is within garden of Reformation Cottage. T2-5 are within garden of adjacent Hill Top House. All of the work described above is in order to maintain these trees in good condition but allow more light to the garden below and lessen the overbearing crown spread of T5 over the garage roof.

G1 - Leyland Cypress (Approx 5 trees forming dense, tall unified block of growth). Reduce the overall height of these boundary trees to 5-6 meters and trim the lateral foliage on side of applicants garden, removing only around 0.5 meters growth. T2 - Sycamore. Remove. This tree has a somewhat etiolated form without space to develop good structure due to surrounding tree growth. T3 - London Plane. Selectively tip reduce the lateral branch spread across applicants garden by 2-3 meters pruning to suitable strong growth points. T4 - Yew. Crown reduce the height and spread by 1 meter. T5 - Lime. Remove lower growth to raise crown to 4.5 -5 meters over the ground. Tip reduce lateral crown spread across applicants garden by 1- 1.5 meters. T6 - Walnut. Remove. This is a low quality tree without space to develop. T7 - Horse Chestnut. Remove lower growth to raise crown to around 4 meters over the ground (TPO 17S35). All of this work is designed increase the sense of light and space within the applicants garden which has fairly large and mature tree growth on 3 sides as well as the tree growth within the garden itself. G1 is growing within the garden of 2 Church Meadow T2 & T3 are growing within the churchyard of St Leonards Church. T4,5 & 6 are growing within applicants garden. T7 is growing on land to the West of the applicants garden.

T1 - Cypress. Remove. This tree shows signs of Honey Fungus is not a good specimen and is out of character in this wooded part of the garden. T2 & 3 - Ash. Remove. These trees are large saplings and do not have space to develop well in this wooded part of the garden G4 - Crack Willow. Selectively reduce the radial crown spread over the orchrard and garden area by 2-3 meters so as to lessen the likelihood of storm damage and also to allow more space and light to the various smaller trees in the garden area below and adjacent to these large Willows. T5. Willow. Pollard to a height of around 2 meters. This tree is sickly with very sparse foliage. Pollarding may produce new growth from the bole or the tree may simply die. Either way it is better pollarded to a low height and can at least provide wildlife value. T6 & 7 - Ash. Remove both trees to allow more space and light to the boundary hedgerow so that it can grow more strongly and to avoid the likely consequences of Ash die-back in relation to road safety. T8 - Sycamore. Remove lower growth to raise crown to around 5 meters over the ground and road.

T1 London Plane. Remove lower foliage to raise crown to 4 meters clearance over the ground. Tip reduce lower crown spread in order to provide clearance from the building of 3 meters pruning back to the previous pruning points where appropriate. This work is to provide a reasonable clearance over the garden and from the building to prevent nuisance caused by low tree growth and tree growth in contact with and close to building and windows.

T1. Oak. Remove lower limbs to raise crown to 3.5 meters. Thin remaining crown by 10-15%. T2. Ash. Pollard at a height of around 3 meters. T3. Ash. Reduce crown the radial spread towards the house and across the garden garden by around 2 meters. Crown thin the remaining crown by around 15%. T4. Ash. Crown reduce the overall height and radial spread by 2 meters. T5. Horse Chestnut. Crown Thin by removing inner branches including dead, weak and crossing growth to reduce crown density by up to 20%. T6. Sycamore. Fell T7. & T8. Sycamore. Crown Thin by removing inner branches including dead, weak and crossing growth to reduce crown density by up to 20%. G9. Sycamore X 4. Prune lower growth on side of house to provide clearance from house wall and roof of around 2 meters. All of the above works are designed to manage the trees in the garden and around the house with improved light levels to the garden and house. The work specification is designed so that the overall amenity value of this group of trees is not lessened. T6 is a tree with a structural defect at the bifurcation of the 2 main stems and is in any case a suppressed tree without the space to develop. T2 has several large scaffold stems originating from a low point and has been partly pollarded in the past, hence the specification to pollard is appropriate for this particular tree.

Cut-leaf beech - Selectively reduce the radial spread of the crown by up to 1.5 meters in order to achieve a more compact and uniform crown profile form with slightly less canopy spread particularly towards the two properties. Lower growth is to be removed to raise the crown to around 4.5 meters over the ground. This work is to maintain this tree in an attractive condition without it becoming overbearing on the properties.

T1 Lime. (T2 TPO) - Remove lower growth to raise crown to around 4 meters over the ground. This work is to maintain improved space and light to the garden beneath the crown of this tree without any loss of amenity value.
