The application is to completely remove Yew Trees T1, T2, T3 trees marked in red on the plan out of Shooting Stars Nurseries garden. The Taxus Baccata Yew Trees are relatively small and are growing on the boundary edge of the nursery garden. The reason we are requesting them to be removed is because of the poisonous nature of the tree. We recently had a young child eat a berry from the Yew Tree and had to be admitted to hospital because of the poisonous seeds. By removing the trees we eliminate the risk of another child eating poisonous berries and a similar incident occurring again. The three trees will be replanted with Silver Birth trees.
