(T1) : Fagus sylvatica - Crown Reduction (lateral aspect only) remove a number of lateral branches on the south-western aspect of the crown, specifically those that overhang the roof of Hollybank House, pruned back to the property boundary line. No reduction in the overall height of the tree is sought. All cuts to be made at a natural branch union or node, in full compliance with BS 3998:2010. The specific cut points are indicated by red markers on the photograph at Section 7 (Photo 1 / IMG_0584). Four branch junctions are marked at approximately 5 to 8 metres above ground level, where lateral branches cross the boundary and bear over the roof. Estimated removal approximately 20 to 25% of the leaf area on the south-western lateral aspect only. The remainder of the crown the majority of the tree will be entirely undisturbed.
