T1 Cupressus macrocarpa - Remove the specific split/fractured branches identified in the photos (those with fracture points and hazard beam features) though some are currently propped by adjacent stems; taking these out cleanly may expose additional weaknesses above, so these limbs are to be reduced. Once those defects are removed, undertake an end weight reduction to newly exposed or compromised sections to restore structural balance as follows: South and West aspects (over Cliff Cottage): approx. 2.5-3.5m on the over extended and compromised sections only. East aspect: approx. 1.5- 2.0m where limbs extend beyond the general crown outline. Height: approx. 1.5-2.0m on select leaders only if required to re balance following defect removals. North aspect: minimal intervention beyond defect removal and deadwood, as this side is already thinned by the failure. Prune to give up to 3m clearance above ground level, 3m clearance to the roof, and 0.5m clearance over the hedges. Remove major dead branches as specified. (012/2018/TPO).
