The process from here

About heritage and listed buildings applications
How this application type works
Heritage applications concern listed buildings and conservation areas. Listed building consent is needed for works, inside or out, that affect the special interest of a listed building, and carrying out such works without consent is a criminal offence. The council weighs harm to the heritage asset against any public benefit of the proposal.

Willow Tree Cottage 34 East Stratton Winchester Hampshire SO21 3DU
The tree is a False Cypress that for one reason or another I decided not to fell in 2011. The tree is now swamping a rather pretty spruce and is overgrowing the garden. I have a hawthorn growing close to it and this will in time fill the canopy. The hawthorn is native, provides flowers for my bees and will grow to a more appropriate garden height. In addition to this I have a chestnut and a holm oak, both of which I have plans to plant in the garden. I am wanting to fell the tree.
