Planning application

Swan Cottage Upper Basingwell Street Bishops Waltham Southampton Hampshire SO32 1PF

Granted Winchester 26/00016/TPC Tree In A Conservation Area

Works: Trees

Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.

Proposal

T1 PALM TREE. Trachycarpus Fortunei. Tree inside the property boundary, on the southern side of this small courtyard. Contained within a brick walled raised bed. Now grown too big for this position, at approx. 10ft at the top of trunk. It is pushing the wall, creating wall displacement and cracking. I am going to try to dig it up and re-site it. But if this proves impossible, I'd like planning permission to fell, and this to be in place when work begins so as to avoid the possibility of getting tree surgeons out twice. I'm intending replanting a replacement tree, but in a planter. This tree can be seen from public areas for viewing.
