T1 POPLAR - STANDING TO THE NORTH EAST OF S&S DIESEL SERVICES LTD ON ADJACENT LAND. HAS BEEN CUT TO A POLLARD IN THE PAST. IN 1998 A TPO WAS PLACED ON THE STUMP. THE TREE HAS REGROWN OVER THE YEARS TO FORM A FULL CANOPY. THE OLD STUMP IS IN VERY POOR CONDITION WITH A LARGE BIFURCATION FORMING A VERY BAD SPLIT - SEE PHOTGRAPH. HAVING INSPECTED THE TREE, I WOULD RECOMMEND FELLING A REPLANTING A REPLACEMENT TREE, DUE TO THE HEAVY CROWN AND LIMITED STRENGTH OF THE TRUNK, THERE IS A POSSIBLILTY THE TREE COULD SPLIT UNDER THE WEIGHT. FELL DUE TO PUBLIC ACCESS, CAR PARKING AN NEIGHBOURING BUILDINGS, FOR HEALTH AND SAFETY REASONS.
