During the commencement of these works multiple roots of significant size have been found to have damaged the septic tank and their removal is required in order for the works to continue. Due to the size of the roots in question (greater than 3 inches diameter), the size of the tree and the proximity of these roots to the main stem, root pruning in order to retain the tree is not deemed to be appropriate.
