After a conversation with Ben Abbatt (Sapling Arboricultural Ltd) I am seeking consent to carry out the recommendation that our Holm oak at the entrance to Holm Lodge on St James Lane have some branch reductions of 1-2m to reduce the weight of some of the over extended branches to mitigate any branch failure. There were three branches in particular which I've tried to show on the attached photos, but it is not entirely clear, but two extend over the road. As a suggestion, whilst contractors are on site (consent permitting) further tip reductions are carried out on branches over the road.
