What refusal means
The process from here
The council refused this application for the reasons set out on the decision notice, which the council portal holds in full. Only the applicant can appeal a refusal; the time limit runs from the decision date and is shorter for householder schemes.
Refusal does not prevent a fresh attempt. Applicants often address the reasons for refusal and resubmit, so a refused scheme is not necessarily the end of proposals for the site.
About full applications applications
How this application type works
A full application seeks permission for a complete, detailed proposal in one go: siting, design, access and landscaping are all fixed at this stage. It is the standard route for new buildings, conversions and changes of use. The statutory target is eight weeks for smaller schemes and thirteen weeks for major development, though complex cases often take longer by agreement.

Work to be carried out in accordance with the Woodland Management Plan. The plan identifies the path and area that are used by Forest School and defines a ?study area? which has been surveyed and documented (this consist of < 20% of the woodland). An overview of the work includes: Felling - within the study area Ash trees that exhibit significant signs of ash die back (Ash Tree Class 3 or 4 as per the Tree Council Ash Dieback Toolkit). Given the current monitoring (VTAs), most of the felling is planned to be done over the next 4 years, during non nesting seasons (late autumn to early spring). Should it be anticipated that over 5m3 would be felled in one season, then a felling licence would be sought. Due to the high density of the unmanaged woodland, additional Ash trees may be felled, to allow additional light in and space for the tall thin oaks to recover and achieve the typical broader, domed shape crown. Note: No oak trees are scheduled to be felled as part of the Management Plan Coppicing - Hazel will be coppiced progressively eventually forming a 5-10 year rotation, with the wood being used for Forest School and Bushcraft activities Non-native/invasive species removal - Remove cherry laurel and braken Control spreading flora - manage the spread of brambles and ivy, thin holly to maintain a natural balance. Additionally the woodland trust have provided native saplings which are being planted to created hedgerows boundaries rather than wire fences. Natural regeneration is anticipated in the areas that felling has taken place, with saplings being monitored and protected. The woodland trust would also be able to supply saplings if needed. Woodland Management Plan has been reviewed and endorsed by Marco Bartolini (Arboricultural Consultant) Arbor-Eco Consultancy
