One tree, possibly a Quercus ilex, but hard to identify as window cleaner who knows these property and tree best says it has grown to its huge height very quickly and is a shrub. Non-native tree, no preservation order. take one branch back by 2 meters and 4 others 1.5 meters The trees trunk enters the ground in Number 74 Chesil St's yard, though the branches mainly overhang 72 the property I live in and own with my husband. Number 74 is rented out and despite efforts to contact the owners through their estate agents Dybles have not replied to phone and email messages. BT cables are ensnared in the tree, which if it continues to grow at the rate estimated by the window cleaner will pull the cables out soon, in addition to knocking down the boundary wall which has already been supported and is under strain. The proposed work is to cut back some of the lower overhanging branches which cover half our gardens width and block out the light here and at number 70, creating more light and room overhead.
