The request to remove the trees is being made inline with the instructions from the professional knotweed management company who are going to be removing knotweed from the garden and replacing it with a weed barrier. The excavation can not take properly or safely unless the trees are removed. With the trees removed I will also be looking to repair the damage inflicted by the trees on the existing stone wall. The trees in question are shown on the attached plan and are: Sycamore in the adjoining garden. Beech on the left when standing at the back of the garden looking at the house Apple on the right. I am proposing to replace the trees with pleached lime or beech trees>the existing number, the location tbc/inline with the garden design/planting plan. I would also like to trim the crown of the tree next to the house from the neighbor's garden by 1-2m

Holly ( T1 ) Fell as caused the failure of boundary wall. Overhang carpark and the subsidence of ground and lean of the tree leaves the tree prone to windthrow. The tree is one of several within the grounds of 16a St Peters garden and its removal will not be a significant loss to local environment and will allow the safe rebuilding of an historic boundary wall.
