Planning application

Beech Rise Rewlands Drive Harestock SO22 6PA

Granted Winchester 20/02344/TPO Tree Preservation Order

Works: Trees

Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.

Proposal

Sycamore (T1) is diseased and Council have already told us that it must be felled. Sycamore (T2) is in close proximity (1-2m) and because of this it has grown in an unbalanced way, leaving it vulnerable once T1 is removed. Advice from a tree surgeon is that T2 is also diseased. Photographs of the trees have already been sent to Mr Ivan Girdler who acknowledges these issues and feels that felling of both trees is required. Closer review of the WCC Public map suggests that T1 and T2 may be outside the TPO area.

T1. Sycamore Tree. Located on the path behind neighbours fence. Tree RPA zone is now entering the house foundations. At rule of 1Rx12=Y There is also large concerns over the secluded union at the base of the tree, a lot of damp and soil has been noted on site visit and with the size of the tree from this union i feel even pruning it will not reduce the potential threat it has to come down especially at the Above sea level height it is at. Tree to be removed to ground level. T2. Sycamore Tree. located on the path behind fence corner of clients property. Tree to have full crown reduction by 2-3m. largest lateral over hanging clients garden to be removed to stem.
