Proposal
- Tree Species; Cherry Laurel Prunus Laurocerasus - I believe. - Sketch Plan provided; Laurel is located in the rear garden of No 23 Eastgate Street, Winchester. - Full Description of works; Complete removal of Laurel due to damage to Grade II listed outbuilding. Several severe cracks appearing in brickwork of No 23 outbuilding and boundary wall of No 24. Reason; Tree surgeon advises as follows; "It would appear that the damage to the fabric of the building has most likely been caused by the Laurel, given it's size and proximity to the building. There is a distinct possibilities that the building (given its age) does not have very good foundations and the Laurel is in a raised bed abutting the wall of the building, there will undoubtedly be pressure on the wall caused by root activity. The attached photos show the extent of the damage which will continue to get worse all the time the laurel remains.
