Planning application

Parsonage Barn Compton Street Compton SO21 2AS

Granted Winchester 20/01300/TPC Tree In A Conservation Area

Works: Trees

Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.

Proposal

Schedule of Work - Parsonage Barn The trees to boundary with Compton Street have become overgrown and as such a number of the trees have become very unhealthy. There are also two beech threes to the rear of the property which would benefit from being crown lifted. The schedule of works we would like to implement are as follow: T1. Spruce Tree - This tree is not suitable for its location and will continue to grow even taller blocking more light from the indigenous trees behind it. The spruce has the majority of its growth on the North side and is very unbalanced. We would like to fell the tree, and replant with a suitable specimen tree. T2. Sycamore Tree - Remove major limb growing to the north of the tree and the small lateral alongside to union. T3. Lime Tree - Crown reduction (2-3m) to boundary T4. Copper Beech - Reduce extended limbs and crown raise lower canopy to 1250mm from ground level T5 Yew Tree - Crown raise to 1250mm from ground level and trim remaining canopy T6 Ash Tree - Remove dead tree T7 Cherry Tree - Crown reduce mid to lower canopy around the full circumference T8 Cherry Tree - Remove one low lateral limb and sever ivy T9 Sycamore Tree - Crown reduce north side of the canopy by 2-3m T10 Walnut Tree - Reduce north side of the canopy by 3-4m and any extended limbs T12 2 x Beech Tree - Crown Raise by approx 3m
