Planning application

Horton Lodge Ravenstone Lane Horton NN7 2BH

Granted West Northamptonshire 2026/2481/TPO Works to Trees (Preservation Order)

Works: Trees

Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.

Proposal

T1 - 1 x Cedar Located at the Side of the Property - Cut back the lateral branches overhanging from the adjacent property ' Rosebank' by approximately 2-3 metres to mitigate the risk of falling onto Horton Lodge. T2 - 1 x Ash Leaf Maple Located in the Centre of the Lawn - Reduce the lateral spread of the crown by approximately 2 metres. The tree has outgrown its position. T3 - 1 x Sycamore near the front driveway exit - Remove significant deadwood and reduce the over extended lateral branches by approximately 2 metres to reduce the risk of failure over this area. T4 - 1 x Yew near the front driveway exit - Dismantle the upper crown leaving a pollarded stem to encourage lower level regeneration. This tree is in sever decline. T5 - 1 x Leaning Holm Oak - Lightly reduce and thin the crown by approximately 25%. The tree is growing at an acute angle with big leverage and the work will mitigate the risk of total collapse.
