Works: Trees
Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.
Proposal
T1 - Oak: Unbalanced crown due to damage caused by highways tree failure. Carry out targeted limb reductions to create improved crown balance and more natural crown shape. Limbs extending beyond natural crown line to be reduced by 1-3m. G1 - Silver Birch: Remove all significant deadwood. T2 - Walnut: Remove all significant deadwood. Reduce branch endings to provide 1-2m of clearance from utility pole/cables and street lighting. Crown raise over public highway to provide 5.2m of clearance. To avoid uneven crown balance from the above recommendations, carry out minor reduction of remaining crown by 1-2m to achieve even crown balance and weight distribution. T3 - Ash: Remove all significant deadwood. Reduce branch endings to provide 1-2m of clearance from utility pole/cables and street lighting. Crown raise over public highway to provide 5.2m of clearance. Crown raise lowest limbs over garden only to provide improved crown balance. T4 - Norway Maple: Large tree for its location with high target potential including highway and residential property. Multiple included unions on primary limbs typical for species but posing potential risk. Reduce crown height by 2-3m. Reduce lateral limbs extending beyond natural crown line by 1-2m to align with existing crown shape. Reduce branch endings encroaching adjacent trees to reduce suppression to create 1-2m of clearance. T5 - Dawn Redwood: Unbalanced crown due to previous suppression by trees which have been removed. Ivy established on stem and into upper crown. Deadwood branches throughout crown and stem. Remove to ground level. Replacement trees already installed (x13) ranging from 10/12 select standard to 16/18 advanced nursery stock. T6 - Sycamore: Suppressing adjacent Ginkgo biloba. Deadwood throughout crown. Some lateral limbs overextending beyond natural crown shape. Reduce lateral limbs extending beyond natural crown line by 1-2m to align with existing crown shape. Reduce branch endings encroaching adjacent Ginkgo biloba to reduce suppression to create 1-2m of clearance. T7 - Ginkgo: Remove all significant deadwood. T8 - Sycamore: Lateral crown extent suppressing adjacent Ginkgo biloba. Deadwood throughout crown. Unbalanced crown due to previous suppression by trees which have been removed. Reduce branch endings encroaching adjacent Ginkgo biloba to reduce suppression to create 1-2m of clearance. Balance remaining crown by selective branch end reduction up to 2m.
