Works: Trees
Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.
Proposal
T1- 1 X Magnolia Reduce the height of the tree by approximately x2.0 metres leaving a final tree height of approximately 5.0 metres. Reduce radial canopy spreads by x2.0 m leaving a final radial crown spread of approximately x5.0 metres at all compass points while retaining the main framework & shape of the crown & therefore a high proportion of the foliage bearing structure. All pruning cuts to be made at suitable growth points. Pruning wounds shall not exceed x40 mm in diameter. The proposed crown reduction work is intended to maintain the health & structural stability of the tree. The works have previously been undertaken as part of a cyclical pruning regime. We aim to promote healthy regrowth to ensure the future health & vitality of the tree. The proposed crown reduction will be carried out with sensitivity to the trees natural shape & its contribution to the character of the conservation area. The works will enhance the trees appearance by removing irregular or disproportionate branch growth, thus maintaining its visual harmony within the landscape. All work will be carried out in accordance with BS3998 ensuring that the crown reduction is undertaken professionally, with appropriate minimal pruning cuts to minimise any risk of infection or decay.
