What a grant of permission means
The process from here
Permission has been granted, usually subject to conditions listed on the decision notice, some of which must be discharged before work starts. The decision notice on the council portal sets out exactly what was approved.
Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses. Neighbours cannot appeal a grant; challenging one means judicial review of how the decision was made, within tight time limits.
About conditions applications
How this application type works
This type of application deals with conditions attached to an existing permission, either by supplying the details a condition requires, called discharging it, or by asking to vary or remove one. It does not reopen the principle of the permission itself. Building often cannot lawfully start, or continue past a set stage, until the named conditions are discharged.

OJ2N and OJ2P (T1 and T2) - Oak: Remove all deadwood and crown reduction of approx 20- 30% trees are approximately 20 metres in height. The proposed crown reduction will equate to a reduction in branch length of approximately 2.0-3.0 metres from the outer canopy. The current and resulting crown spreads (measured radially from the stem) are as follows: T1 (Oak): Current crown spread: North: 7.0 metres East: 8.0 metres South: 7.5 metres West: 8.0 metres. Proposed crown spread following reduction: North: approximately 4.0-5.0 metres East: approximately 5.0-6.0 metres South: approximately 4.5-5.5 metres West: approximately 5.0-6.0 metres T2 (Oak): Current crown spread: North: 7.0 metres East: 8.0 metres South: 7.0 metres West: 8.0 metres. Proposed crown spread following reduction: North: approximately 4.0-5.0 metres East: approximately 5.0-6.0 metres South: approximately 4.0-5.0 metres West: approximately 5.0-6.0 metres

T1 - Large mature English Oak Tree: situated on the lawn behind Patio. This tree has an unbalanced crown, towards the rear of the property with very low limbs hanging over the neighbour's boundary. Also there is a cavity 3m from ground level. Due to the size and location I would recommend the upper house side crown to be reduced by approx. 2m to balance and lift up the lower limbs 4m for clearance over the garden. Finally to remove all dead and dying wood and stumps.

T1 - Large Mature English Oak Tree: Crown has been suppressed with one side overhanging garden shed and school playing grounds. I would recommend crown reduction of 2m field side only to give clearance and reduce the risk of limb collapse. This would help reduce the crown also. Finally to remove any dead, dying wood and stumps; T2- Suppressed English Oak: This tree has a dying crown with extensive cavities at 1m and 3m from ground level. Due to its poor condition I would recommend section felling to ground level. Removing all arisings. Access to remove all arisngs via the school field would be best.
