What happens while it is decided
The process from here
This application is with Watford for determination. The council publicises it, consults neighbours and technical bodies where required, and weighs the responses against local and national planning policy.
The statutory target is eight weeks for most applications and thirteen for major development, though extensions of time are common. Comments carry most weight while the case is undecided, so check the council portal for the deadline if you want to respond.
About full applications applications
How this application type works
A full application seeks permission for a complete, detailed proposal in one go: siting, design, access and landscaping are all fixed at this stage. It is the standard route for new buildings, conversions and changes of use. The statutory target is eight weeks for smaller schemes and thirteen weeks for major development, though complex cases often take longer by agreement.

Creation of secure storage compound to the rear of the Garston Telephone exchange site. The compound will include 3Nr 6m storage containers that will house equipment and materials in support of the local telecoms infrastructure network, such as excavations tools, ducting, fibre cable and man hole covers. The perimeter fence will be a heras galvanized metal fence with weighted plastic footings to the perimeter of the storage area. In addition a temporary welfare unit will be placed on site. This is set on existing hardstanding area next to the building. The Government has set a target to connect a minimum of 85% of premises to gigabit-capable coverage by 2027. The solution of setting up small depots is both sustainable and effective in meeting the needs of the roll out.
