Planning application
W/26/0309/LB
Abbey Fields Barn, Bridge Street, Kenilworth CV8 1BP
Proposal
Installation of replacement intruder alarm within the Abbey Fields Barn. The internal equipment will be replaced utilising the existing wall mounted board to ensure no fixings will be to the external building walls. There will be a requirement however to fit an external aerial for external communication in the event of an intruder alarm activation. We will not be fitting an external sounder to the building due to the nature of the building. Due to this it is essential an aerial is fitted for comms. Without this facility there is no means of notifying persons in the event of an activation, making the intruder alarm pointless. The proposal is to fit this aerial onto the entrance/ exit door frame.

What withdrawal means
The process from here
The applicant withdrew this application before the council decided it, so it carries no planning weight and no fee refund is automatic. Withdrawal often follows officer feedback that a refusal was likely.
The applicant is free to submit a revised application at any time, and many withdrawn schemes return in amended form, so the site is worth watching if the proposal affected you.
About heritage and listed buildings applications
How this application type works
Heritage applications concern listed buildings and conservation areas. Listed building consent is needed for works, inside or out, that affect the special interest of a listed building, and carrying out such works without consent is a criminal offence. The council weighs harm to the heritage asset against any public benefit of the proposal.
