Planning application

Land North East of Birmingham Road, Kenilworth and East of Holly Lane, Meer End, Solihull

Decided Warwick SCR/23/0002 Screening opinion

Decided. The decision notice on the council portal carries the outcome in full, including any conditions.

Proposal

EIA Screening Opinion for the redevelopment of a renewable energy development to be known as 'Holly Lane Energy Park'. The development will occupy approximately 50ha of land split across two separate land parcels to the south and south-east of Balsall Common, Solihull, including a larger western parcel for the solar farm and a smaller eastern parcel for the battery energy storage system and substation. The development will connect into the existing 132kV overhead powerline which crosses the eastern parcel of the site. The two areas would be linked by an underground cable which would generally follow the shortest route in the public highway.
