The works comprise two connected elements. Firstly the installation of a shed in the back garden of a grade II listed building and secondly the installation of a trellis around the back garden perimeter wall. Photographs of the existing back garden wall wall are enclosed with this application. The shed is a wooden "pent" design which is 3.09m wide, 1.18 m deep and 1.81m high at its lowest point to 2m high at its highest point. The shed is free-standing and sits on an area of paving. It is not fixed to any wall or to the ground. The shed is located at the south western corner of the garden as far away from the house as possible, to minimise the impact on the setting of the house. The shed has already been erected, and is required to store residents bicycles and gardening equipment (the aim being to avoid people carrying their bikes up and down the communal hallway in the house which has been causing significant damage to the interior of the building historically). The rear garden of the house is bounded on 2 sides by a perimeter wall of modern red brick construction. It is particularly unattractive. The site is on a slight slope so the wall is 1.4m high at its southern end rising to 1.5m high adjacent to the entrance to the site. These heights are taken from within the garden. The boundary wall runs parallel with Endlesham Road. The garden is slightly raised above pavement level so the height of the wall is higher if measured from the pavement. These heights are 1.91m at the southern end of the site falling to 1.77m adjacent to the site entrance. The shed (which is located at the southern end of the site) sticks up above the wall by 40cm. The works involve adding a 50cm high trellis along the length of the rear perimeter wall. The trellis is to be good quality wooden square trellis panels fixed to the top of the boundary wall. The aim of the trellis is three-fold: Firstly to shield the shed from the street, lessening its impact on neighbours; Secondly to provide a mo
