About trees applications
How this application type works
Tree applications cover work to protected trees: those under a tree preservation order need consent for pruning or felling, and trees in a conservation area need six weeks written notice before work starts. The council assesses the amenity value of the tree and can refuse consent, approve it with conditions, or in conservation areas make a preservation order in response.

Front Garden G1 - 1x Ash & 1x Cherry Fell as close to ground level as possible. Apply systemic herbicide to stump to prevent re-growth. G1 is located in the front garden, see map attached. The tree is of poor shape and form and is of little amenity value. The long-term future for the tree is questionable due to poor previous pruning. Rear Garden G2 - 1x Birch & 1x Magnolia Fell as close to ground level as possible. Apply systemic herbicide to stump to prevent re-growth. G2 is located in the back garden, see map attached. The tree is of poor shape and form and is of little amenity value. There are several other desirable and dominant trees of better shape and form within close proximity to the subject tree. G3 - 1x Bay & 1x Magnolia Crown reduce by removing up to 1.5 metres in branch length G3 is located in the back garden, see map attached. The works are part of a regular maintenance programme to retain the tree at a suitable size for their location. The proposed works would not reduce the amenity value of the tree and will allow sustainable tree management in the long term. T4 - Cherry Fell as close to ground level as possible.
