Works: Extension Windows or glazing Domestic
Read from the description, not a valuation. How we read the register
Withdrawn before a decision, so it carries no planning weight. A revised scheme can be submitted at any time.
Proposal
Replace existing French doors and casement window with bi-folding doors. French doors and casement window are located in north facing (NNW) elevation of an existing ground floor kitchen extension. Doors open into a walled garden. The work entails: - Removing doors and windows - Removing brickwork between them - Installing a steel lintel with a steel support on the party wall side as advised by structural engineer - Installing a three blade bi-folding doorway across the opening. The doors are planned to be double glazed units with a dark grey aluminium frame. Please note that the doors have not yet been purchased so this is subject to availability/final selection. There is no change to the property visible on the West facing elevation, (Engadine Road) or the South facing elevation (Revelstoke Road). The existing garden wall shields the proposed development from Engadine Street. A similar property exists directly opposite across Engadine Road at 128 Revelstoke Road. This property has bi-folding doors at the same point in the kitchen rear extension. For information only: (not subject to planning permission) - At the same time the window in the West facing elevation will be replaced to suit the bi-folding doors. - The pebble dash wall coating is in poor repair and will be replaced with render for this ground floor extension only.
