5 Yew Tree Mews, Abingdon, OX14 1EA
The tree is on property at 5 Yew Tree Mews but overhangs the parking space of No.6 Moorland Court. The tree is regularly maintained by Crosscut Tree Surgeons and was last reduced in 2007. Due to expense I have work done every 10 years. The application is being made purely as a result of the owner of the parking space complaining about pigeon droppings on his car. He is requesting removal of horizontal branches to reduce droppings. The birds roost in all branches. My personal opinion is the birds are the problem, not the tree.

5 Yew Tree Mews, Abingdon, OX14 1EA
Tree canopy has spread wide which overhangs public area car parking and house/garage and is a health/safety risk. It's a Yew tree with TPO - 2 options to be considered:- Option 1 - pollard tree - cutting all main branches Option 2 - reduce canopy by minimum 40%. As the tree has sufficient trunk growth and foliage to keep a reasonable shape, the tree has been lopped previously which has caused it to look out of shape and lop sided. Suggest a site visit to assess the options. By allowing option 1 or 2 this will reduce the risk of branch falling on someone or onto property/vehicle which is a concern for myself and neighbours.
