2 x Irish Yews Fell 2 Irish Yews (Taxus baccata 'fastigiata'), grind stumps and re-turf, and plant replacement trees on churchyard location advice of the District Authority. Trees excessively mask Grade I listed building - Faringdon's oldest and most historic - from being seen from the Market Square, thereby reducing the attractiveness of the town centre. Trees are numbered 0128 and 0129 on Authority schedule for the churchyard - they are to the south of the church, next to the south transept. Remarks:

2 x Mature Sycamore Trees 1 x Walnut Tree Two mature Sycamore trees: application to remove. One Walnut tree - to be retained. We wish to remove the two Sycamore trees, these stand within 2m of each other, and c.4m away from a Walnut tree whose development is inhibited by the Sycamores. Reason: The Sycamores cast dense shadow over the plot below, which cannot be cultivated, and undesirable shadow (and shelter) over the nearby kitchen garden and other beds. The trees are unattractive and have no place in a domestic garden. They also inhibit the growth of the adjacent Walnut (to be kept). They overshadow (and may threaten) an adjacent house in Church Close. A previous tree nearby was responsible for collapse of the listed wall. We propose to replace with Dawdia and Katsura ornamental trees. Remarks:
