Proposal
Cherry tree - a common Cherry tree (planted by a previous caretaker within the lawn) died a few years ago. The tree was retained to allow a clematis to grow through it, however, the weight of the clematis combined with slow decay at the trunk base has now resulted in the tree falling over. It is currently leaning against an adjacent Copper and is unsafe. We have consulted with Youngs Tree Services who have advised the felling of the tree to ground level. The stump will be left to decay naturally. There is no intention to replant any trees. W1 Mixed broadleaf woodland Spec: S15 Fell tree to ground level. Reason: R1 Sound arboricultural management Reason: R4 To address potential hazard Spec: S20 Suggested species, Cherry suggested size, 10-12cm girth
