T3 - Large Chestnut on the edge of the decking - remove the lowest limb to the west (growing over the seating area) back to the main stem. Reason for recommendation tree works - to bring back in scale with location. T4 - Ash growing out of the embankment retaining wall - to fell in sections to ground level. Reason for recommended works - outgrown location and causing damage to the wall. T5 - Sycamore growing out of the embankment retaining wall - to fell in sections to ground level. Reason for recommended works - outgrown location and causing damage to the wall. T6 - Adjacent Tree of Heaven - to lift low growth and cut back from the adjacent building as required to provide 2m clearnce. Reason for recommended tree works - health and safety. Remarks:

The single dead Cherry tree is shown as "C" in a red circle on the Sketchmap provided. For reasons of safety before autumn storms, the crown now needs to be reduced by removal of the lateral branches to a residual limb length of c. 1 metre above main unions, creating a branched monolith (of about 4-5m height) . This is a wildlife-friendly alternative to complete removal. The trunk already has ivy growth, and the tree will continue to provide potential harbourage for wood-boring insects, other invertebrates, birds and smal mammals. Arborists have indicated that the standing dead tree should remain stable for several years as a monolith. Stability will be checked annually. The lopped branches will be cut into manageable pieces to make a habitat pile in a designated area of the churchyard. N.B. There is no Tree Preservation Order in force for this tree or any other tree in the chuchyard.
