Works: Trees
Decided. The decision notice on the council portal carries the outcome in full, including any conditions.
Proposal
T1 - Sycamore We would like to remove the Sycamore tree (T13 on plan) as it cuts out most of the sunlight to our garden and blocks our view of the downs. It is constantly being damaged by vehicles on Pilgrims Way. Remarks:

T9A - Ash T11 - Horse Chestnut T9A - Ash - reduce crown to break at 3m. T11 - Horse Chestnut - crown reduce by 20% to restore shape. Telephone conversation 1.8.2017 with T Stringer and Liam refers. You had previously given permission for work to T9A (nor carried out), T11 in October 2014 but unfortunately the application could not be traced and it might have been a casualty of the fire in 2015. T8 - Sycamore T9 - Sycamore I have attached 3 photos. 1. is taken from the original arboricultural report and labels the trees. 2 & 3 show the size and spread of the trees, betwen 2 Applethorpe and our next door neighbours' house to the east. My main concern is that trees T8 and T9 may cause damage to the neighbours' house. This was particularly brought home to me by Storm Doris earlier this year and by the high winds last week. In recent years, before the site was redeveloped, a tree from this site fell and damaged the neighbours garage which adds to my concern that worse damage may occur. The two trees are Sycamores and are taller than the houses either side of them and they have a considerable spread. They are far too big for their situation. In summary T8 and T9 pose a threat of damage to the neighbours' house, have little amenity value, shade part of our garden. I propose that trees T8, T9 should be reoved and replaced by Silver Birch.
