Planning application
Limekiln House Hinksey Hill OXFORD OX1 5BH
Works: Trees
Decided. The decision notice on the council portal carries the outcome in full, including any conditions.
Proposal
To install a domestic PV solar electrical generation system in the field adjoining Limekiln House. There will be no change of use of the land. The 30KW system will use very high specification black edged panels, designed to give the lowest visual impact. They will be ground mounted on two array support frames that can be easily removed when no longer required. The array mountings are such that they will permit the field to be grazed and will not cause any change of use. The advantage of the system is that it will permit Limekiln House to be almost fully self-sufficient in electricity, bringing significant environmental advantage; whilst the impact will be very low indeed. Very well screened by existing hedges and trees, the system will be only barely visible from outside the property. The field is accessed through the main entrance to Limekiln House and the PV system will cause negligible impact on traffic, as it only requires to be visited by a technician (using a normal domestic vehicle) once per year.
