Planning application
Moorlands Brewery Site, Ock Street, Abingdon, Oxfordshire
Works: Trees
Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.
Proposal
Area to front of 58-60 Coopers Lane. T1 - Yew - Pigeon currently nesting in yew tree above the entrance to Nos. 58-60 Coopers Lane. Pigeon mess now causing a nuisance and building up on patio areas where young children play, residents are now unable to avoid mess. Recommendation: Reduce upper sections of crown to match lower sections of maintained canopy. This involves reducing limbs starting at around 3m from ground level by up to approx 1.5m bringing the profile of the canopy in line with the gravel pathway. Then install polycarbonate spikes on remaining overhanging limbs to deter roosting patterns of pigeons.
