Charney Manor, Charney Bassett, Wantage, Oxon, OX12 0EJ

Decided Vale of White Horse P15/V3206/TCA Works to trees in CA

Works: Trees Small domestic

Read from the description, not a valuation. How we read the register

Decided. The decision notice on the council portal carries the outcome in full, including any conditions.

Proposal

2 x Mature Robinia pseudacacia Two mature or old trees (Robinia pseudacacia), shown as Tree 1 and 2 on the sketch map and growing to the south of the entrance drive to the Manor, are encroaching on the stone boundary wall between Charney Manor and the churchyard. Both roots and branches are causing damage to the wall which needs 3 metres rebuilding. We intend to replant with a suitable flowering tree a little further from the wall when repaired. Remarks:

T1 - Silver Birch T2 - Robinia T3 - Robinia T1 - Silver Birch, reduction of crown by approximately 30%. The tree is at the front of the house and its height has now reached roof level. T2 - Robinia - reduction of crown by 30%. The tree is old and covered with Ivy. It is on the boundary of the land of 1 Orchard Close and at its present height could endanger neighbour's buildings if for any reason it fell in that direction. T3 - Robinia - reduction of crown by 30%. This is a root sucker from the old tree and with the other one is making that part of the garden shady. Remarks: Spec:
