Planning application

Roysse Court, Bridge Street, Abingdon, Oxon, OX14 3HU

Decided Vale of White Horse P15/V3106/TCA Works to trees in CA

Works: Trees

Decided. The decision notice on the council portal carries the outcome in full, including any conditions.

Proposal

1 x Prunus Cisteena 2 x Malus Roysee Court Garden has three mature trees within its confines being 1 x Prunus Cisteena and 2 x Malus. These trees have been loked at by our tree services contractors and our Environmental Design consultants and they report, verbally, that one of the trees is suffering a fungal infestation, another is of poor health and thinning out and the third not a particularly good specimen. One of the trees in 2014 had some rots removed after a water leak in the Guildhall supply was discovered. The roots had to be removed to allow access to the water pipe. The Town Councl propose to refurbish the Roysee Court garden to enable better access to the Guildhall and Town Council offices. In the interim period, before the full refurbishment takes place the Town Council would like to fell the trees and replace with hanging basket poles and a flower trough. The full refurbishment will take place once the future plans of the Guildhall are finalised and this may include the planting of new trees, a gazebo and new flower beds. The paving slabs will be replaced and various walkways realigned. Remarks:
