Proposal
Replacement of existing wooden framed windows. Existing window are rotten, provide little noise or energy insulation and many are allowing water damage to occur in the walls. This would ensure the house is well-insulated from noise, increase energy efficiency and prevent further water damage. The windows to be replaced are: - Front living room ('office'): Windows on front and right elevation - Rear living room ("living room"): Windows on rear elevation - Dining room: Window on left elevation - Second bedroom, first floor: Window on front elevation - Bathroom, first floor: Window on front elevation - Dressing room, first floor: Window on rear elevation - Landing, first floor: Window on right elevation - Third bedroom, second floor (loft room): Windows on left elevation

What a grant of permission means
The process from here
Permission has been granted, usually subject to conditions listed on the decision notice, some of which must be discharged before work starts. The decision notice on the council portal sets out exactly what was approved.
Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses. Neighbours cannot appeal a grant; challenging one means judicial review of how the decision was made, within tight time limits.
About heritage and listed buildings applications
How this application type works
Heritage applications concern listed buildings and conservation areas. Listed building consent is needed for works, inside or out, that affect the special interest of a listed building, and carrying out such works without consent is a criminal offence. The council weighs harm to the heritage asset against any public benefit of the proposal.
