Foxgrove Tree Unidentified tree I acquired this property from Mrs S Tyack this year. She has permission to remove a Foxglove Tree (CA 9792). I enclose a photograph showing that tree and in its shade a small tree which I have not been able to identify. It has not done well and I would like to remoe it at the same time; refresh the soil and plant a new tree; either an apple or a weeping birch, if space is considered suitable or another native tree. Cercis siliquestrum (T1) : request to fell, due to poor condition of tree. Historical and ongoing decay has left this tree badly unbalanced and leaning, with all the weight to one side. The last remaining limb on the north side is splitting horizontally, see 2603C, leading to the death of that limb. The trunk has severe vertical decay, see 2603D, with soft material between partial occlusion wood. The remaining two upper branches are also showing signs of decay with several broken stubs within the canopy. We plan to fell this tree, replacing it with a similar small ornamental tree, species yet to be decided. The tree is positioned within a private garden and is not visible from Ebbs Lane.
