The works include replacing the existing flat roof coverings from bitumen felt to a cold applied liquid system (grey in colour). The works will also involve raising the height of the flat roofs by 200mm to increase the insulation depth to comply with Building Regulations Part L. The existing rooflights will be replaced from polycarbonate rooflights to a flush glazed fixed flat rooflight with a 30 minute fire resistance. The flat roofs are not the highest point of the roof, as there is a upper pitched roof. The pitched roof coverings will also be replaced on a "like for like" basis. The pitched roof coverings currently have hand crafted clay tiles and will be replaced with hand crafted clay tiles (Marley Eternit Ashdowne Ashurst 133 3).
