Application for works to Copper Beech, being the subject of a TPO and the dominant tree between the house and the High St. There are no other Copper Beech trees in the plot, and therefore no risk of confusion. The need for maintenance has been discussed with George Reade, Tree Officer for VoWH, and this application reflects his recommendations following his visit to site and discussions with the owner. We apply for permission to carry out the following work to the Copper Beech: - a 2 metre crown lift - a 15% crown thin - removal of crossed and dead branches - a 10% crown reduction (using the edge of the path as a guide on the side of the tree closest to the house) This work as suggested by the Tree Officer in order to maintain the health of the tree, and to reduce shading of the house by the tree.
