  Tree T1 is a mature Common Beech (Fagus sylvatica) located within the rear garden of a residential property and subject to Tree Preservation Order protection. The tree is situated in close proximity to the dwelling, conservatory, boundary fencing and neighbouring properties. As a result of its mature size and extensive crown spread, the canopy now extends over adjacent structures and has become intertwined with a neighbouring oak tree. The proposed works consist of a crown reduction of approximately 25–30% to reduce overall crown dimensions and end-weight on extended limbs, whilst retaining the tree’s natural form and significant amenity value. The objectives of the proposed works are: • To provide appropriate clearance from nearby structures and garden features. • To reduce mechanical loading and leverage on extended scaffold limbs. • To minimise branch interaction and competition with the neighbouring oak canopy. • To maintain the tree at a suitable size for its location and reduce the need for more severe pruning in the future. • To retain the tree as a prominent landscape feature whilst undertaking proportionate management. The proposed reduction will be undertaken in accordance with BS3998:2010 Tree Work – Recommendations, pruning back to suitable growth points to maintain a balanced and natural crown form. No works are proposed to the main stem or principal structural framework beyond that necessary to achieve the specified reduction. The tree is considered to make a positive contribution to local amenity and the proposed works represent routine arboricultural management intended to ensure its long-term retention within the landscape.

  Tree identification: T1 (silver Fir) as marked on the accompanying sketch plan. 1.To reduce the overall height of the tree by a maximum of 3.5 metres, reducing the current height from approximately 14 metres down to 10.5 metres 2.The central leader will be carefully pruned back to a suitable, active side branch or healthy node to establish a new, natural leader and avoid a flattened top profile. 3.To shorten the lateral branches across the upper crown by no more than 2.5 metres, pruning strictly back to healthy, green, live outward growing buds. 4, No pruning cuts will be made back into old, bare, brown wood, ensuring the green outer canopy remains fully intact to preserve the trees health and visual amenity. 5. All works will be carried out in accordance with BS 3998:2010(Tree work- recommendations) during the trees dormant winter period to minimise sap loss and stress. Structural safety to reduce wind sail effect and mitigate the risk of branch failure near a public footpath, public side road, customers gardens and substation equipment beneath the tree. Property clearance to provide a 2 metre clearance from the adjacent residential roof-line. We have retrieved numerous complaints from the customers over the last year. To remove deadwood and congested inner branches to improve airflow through the canopy.

  T1 - Sycamore T2 - Pine T3 - Sycamore T1 - Sycamore - Reduce awa from property b 1-2m to good pruning points. Shape and balance crown to give a more natural shape after pruning away from building. Remove deadwood crossing/rubbing branches. The tree is getting close to the building and requires pruning back before it is touching. T2 - Pine - Remove deadwood and inspect cobra brace. Reduce height by 1-2m to good pruning points. The tree is between the 2 Sycamore and is over shadowing them affecting their growth. T3 - Sycamore - Reduce crown height by 1m and reduce sides by 1m all round to good pruning points to give a smaller more compact crown, keeping the natural shape of the tree. The tree is larger than the other Sycamore and we would like to get them to a more even size. Remarks:
