In 2016 the leaves were covered in large black spots (some sort of disease or fungus?). Leaf drop and keys in the autumn are overwhelming in my small garden. Following a mild and wet winter, an unusually large germination rate of the keys themselves are a problem on their own. The tree is very close to White Cottage (6 metres), Church Lane Cottage and Fernhurst (approx 7.7 metres) with large roots very near the ground surface.
