GT4817 - Mixed species - Reduce crowns of 3 x northernmost beech away from school roof by minimum 4m, to suitable growth points Fenced area, dense ground cover, ivy and bind weed covering basal areas and stems into crowns - inspection heavily obstructed. Apparent loss of mature tree in centre of group leaves large gap and resulting crown suppression of sycamore and beech. Southernmost beech crown in conflict with school building, weight and lean bias towards school, basal decay and bark delamination visible. Adjacent sycamore has rope and barbed wire tied to hold fence, apparent badger set opening on northern side, inspection obstructed. Beech to north of sycamore leans over school with crown unbalanced - over school roof only. Two northernmost beech behind steel perimeter fence with complete ivy coverage to 10m AGL. Crowns over school roof. Basal decay of southernmost beech, dense ivy obstructs, crown in conflict with school building, lean and weight bias of majority of trees over school. T001 - Common beech - Section fell to ground level - Tree is in poor location as regards form/condition, is significantly structurally compromised and offers no suitable crown reduction opportunity due to lack of necessary growth point locations.

The following tree works are proposed in accordance with the recommendations contained within the Arboricultural Survey & Tree Risk Report prepared by Topp Tree Care Ltd dated 19 May 2026. The proposed works are intended to proactively manage mature Lime trees situated adjacent to residential dwellings, access roads, parking areas and pedestrian routes, in order to reduce excessive end-weight loading, mitigate foreseeable branch failure risk, and establish a sustainable cyclical management regime whilst retaining the significant amenity value of the tree population in accordance with BS3998:2010 Tree Work Recommendations. T0033, T0031, T0029, T0027, T0025, T0023, T0021, T0019, T0017, T0015, T0013 & T0011 European Lime (Tilia x europaea): Undertake selective and sympathetic crown reductions of approximately 2.0?3.0 metres throughout the outer canopy, with particular emphasis on reducing elongated lateral growth and excessive end-weight over adjacent dwellings, gardens, parking areas and access routes. Works to be carried out by reduction back to suitable secondary growth points whilst retaining a natural and balanced crown form appropriate to the species. T0007 ? European Lime (Tilia x europaea): Undertake a light crown reduction and selective end-weight reduction of approximately 1.5?2.0 metres to elongated lateral limbs and upper co-dominant scaffold structure to reduce mechanical loading and wind sail. Remove ivy from the lower stem and primary unions and undertake routine monitoring of the co-dominant union structure. T0005 & T0003 ? European Lime (Tilia x europaea): Undertake light crown reduction and selective end-weight reduction of approximately 10?15% throughout the outer canopy to reduce loading on historic scaffold unions and constrained basal structures adjacent to the retaining wall. T 030 - Multiple stemmed lapsed sycamore coppice. Growing on bank bordering road and in striking distance of third party properties to the north and south. Two primary stems to the north have been pollarded down to 3m. The eastern most stem has since died with large area of bark necrosis at 1.5m - 3m. The northern most stem which has had a primary limb pollarded is in severe decline with bark necrosis to the north at 2m. If the two stems are removed the remaining canopy will be biased totaly to the south and west and will be open to additional wind loading.
