What happens while it is decided

The process from here

This application is with Three Rivers for determination. The council publicises it, consults neighbours and technical bodies where required, and weighs the responses against local and national planning policy.

The statutory target is eight weeks for most applications and thirteen for major development, though extensions of time are common. Comments carry most weight while the case is undecided, so check the council portal for the deadline if you want to respond.

About full applications applications

How this application type works

A full application seeks permission for a complete, detailed proposal in one go: siting, design, access and landscaping are all fixed at this stage. It is the standard route for new buildings, conversions and changes of use. The statutory target is eight weeks for smaller schemes and thirteen weeks for major development, though complex cases often take longer by agreement.

The proposed works comprise a selective crown prune to an established apple tree (Malus domestica) in order to manage excessive branch growth and maintain structural integrity, tree health, and amenity value. Works will include the removal of dead, diseased, damaged, crossing, and poorly formed branches, together with a targeted crown reduction to control overextended lateral and vertical growth. Reduction cuts will be made back to suitable secondary growth points in accordance with BS 3998:2010 Tree Work ? Recommendations. The pruning will result in an overall reduction of the crown by approximately 20?30%, maintaining a balanced, natural form consistent with the species. No topping or indiscriminate branch removal is proposed. The tree?s primary framework and physiological function will be retained. All works will be undertaken by a competent arborist using appropriate tools and techniques to minimise stress and avoid unnecessary wounding. The proposed works are intended as routine arboricultural management and will not adversely affect the long-term health, stability, or contribution of the tree to local amenity.

THIS APPLICATION REFERS TO 2 TREES POSSIBLY MAPLE OR SYCAMORE, THE REASON FOR THIS APPLICATION IS THAT THIS IS A CONSERVATION AREA. I WOULD LIKE THE TREES REMOVED COMPLETELY FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS. THE TREES ARE AT THE END OF MY GARDEN, THE TRUNK ON ONE OF THE TREES IS PUSHING THROUGH MY BORDER FENCE PANEL WHICH NOW NEEDS REPLACING. THIS IS THE LARGEST OF THE TREES AND IS OVERHANGING 3 NEIGHBOURS GARDENS ON THE LEFT SIDE. ONE OF MY NEIGHBOURS IS ELDERLY AND CANNOT MANAGE THE LEAVES AND DEBRIS FROM THE TREE. THIS TREE ALSO SHADES NEIGHBOURS GARDENS TO BOTH SIDES.
