Sycamore tree (T1) 16/0796/TPO - fell because of rotting and included bark. Replant with one native oak tree, one blue spruce and fruit trees. The tree has a cavity at the base which is full of worms and vermicast. The depth of the cavity is in excess of 30cm (12inches) photo included. When I consulted a tree surgeons with regard to management of the tree they recommended felling due to the depth of the cavity and also included bark on the two main boughs. Underneath the tree there are outbuildings in both gardens in Hill Rise and Shepherds Way. There is potential for costly damage if boughs were to fall.
