Planning application
5 Pembroke Road Moor Park Hertfordshire HA6 2HP
Works: Trees
Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.
Proposal
The Cherry tree is located next to the front path, on the boundary of 5 Pembroke Road. The request is to remove the tree as it is old and does not grow/flower much at all. It is now overshadowed by the cherry tree on the road verge. I am replacing the tree with an alternative cherry tree on the same plot (but in a different location). The tree is being provided by Herts CC tree scheme later this Autumn. Please note that the tree is on the plot of 5 Pembroke Road and is NOT the substantial cherry tree on the roadside verge. This is owned by Moor Park 1958 and will not be touched in any way.

The process from here
Permission has been granted, usually subject to conditions listed on the decision notice, some of which must be discharged before work starts. The decision notice on the council portal sets out exactly what was approved.
Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses. Neighbours cannot appeal a grant; challenging one means judicial review of how the decision was made, within tight time limits.
About trees applications
How this application type works
Tree applications cover work to protected trees: those under a tree preservation order need consent for pruning or felling, and trees in a conservation area need six weeks written notice before work starts. The council assesses the amenity value of the tree and can refuse consent, approve it with conditions, or in conservation areas make a preservation order in response.
